Good morning everyone! I hope you are fine and that you enjoy long summer days! Lately I have been obsessed with vegan ice creams. Remember my chocolate coconut ice cream or my nutella ice cream? Oh God, they are amazing! My new experiment turned out amazing! It was love at first bite, guys! This chocolate orange ice cream has become my favourite! I am addicted! I love both its taste and its texture! You should definitely give it a try!
Happy new week! Relax and enjoy life! Kisses and hugs!
1 can (400ml) coconut milk (chilled overnight and drained)
3/4 cup chocolate soy or almond milk
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup maple/agave syrup
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp orange extract
50 gr. chocolate chips
for garnish: orange zest, ground walnuts
The night before, place your ice cream churning bowl in the freezer to chill. Beat in a mixer the chilled coconut milk (dispose any liquid) until creamy and fluffy. Add soy milk, orange juice, extract and agave syrup and beat again. Add chilled mixture to ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions – about 20 minutes. It should look like soft serve. Fold in chocolate chips. Top with your favourite ingredients and eat right away or transfer the ice cream to a large freezer-safe container. Set out for 10 minutes before serving to soften. Enjoy!
