Good morning and have a nice LentToday I woke up really early as if I were a baker in order to bake lagana bread! You seemy husband works today and I wanted him to eat home made bread no matter what! So last night I kneaded, put the dough in the fridge and baked it this morning! It is really fantastic! The recipe I used is Vickysyou should try it!
Saturday afternoon I made oat cookies with honey and sesame paste. (see “Olive”March 2011). The recipe is very easy andthe cookies really packed with nutrients and crispy. Next time I will bake them the same way, but I guess they need a little less baking. I didn’t have prunes and I added hazelnuts (1/3 cup). In this recipe I used for the first time the measuring cups that Xanthi brought me from London as a present.
Ingredients:

1,5 cup oats0,5 cup sesame paste (tahini)
0,5 cup honey0,5 cup black raisins
1/3 cup finely chopped almonds
1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp sesame
5 prunes finely chopped
0,5 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp cocoa

Directions:
Preheat the oven at 190º C and place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir with a spoon until well blended. Place tablespoon sized drops of the mixture (close to one another) on to a baking tin covered in greaseproof paper. Bake the cookies for exactly 10 minutes. Get them out of the oven and let them cool before you serve.
