Good morning, dear friends! One of the things that gives me lots of joy is when I come home from school and my hubby has cooked something. Most of the times it is something that has to do with baking since he enjoys playing with doughs. A few days ago he had made these delicious crunchy crackers. They were so yummy that we ate them all at once and had no time to shoot them. So I asked him to make them again so that I can post them and share them with you. I made a herbed garlicky dip to accompany the crackers. It is a perfect match! You can opt for the herbs you like the most, so dont hesitate to substitute them. When our baby boy gets older, we will be making lots of them for him. I hope that I will be able to make him love healthy food. I am very satisfied with his nutrition by now. He seems to enjoy healthy stuff. His latest addiction is peanut butter! I am a huge pb fan as well! So no wonder why he loves it so much!

Ingredients (yields 15-16 crackers):
120 gr. whole wheat flour Bauckhof
100 gr. self rising flour
3 gr, dry yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder, oregano, salt Le Guerandais
1/2 tsp pepper
for the dip:
200 gr. vegan cream cheese Viofree
25 gr. parsley and dill
1 Tbsp olive oil and balsamic cream
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp sweet paprika

Instructions:

In a bowl put the sieved flours, pepper, oregano and garlic powder. In another bowl dissolve the yeast into the lukewarm water. Put the wet ingredients into the dry ones and stir to combine with your hands. Add salt and olive oil. Knead the dough for about 5-10′ and put it in a heat resistant bowl in  the oven at 50C for about half an hour so that it raises. Then roll out the dough on a surface with a rolling pin (it should be about 0.3-05cm thick). Then cut into squares, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, make holes with a fork and fan bake in preheated oven at 180C for about 22 minutes. In the meantime place all the dip ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth. Serve the dip in a bowl and enjoy it with lots of crackers. Store in an airtight container.
