Goodmorning, dear friends! Today we are making a healthy and super easy caramel made of … dates! You can use this caramel in many sweet recipes. Soon we will be posting an amazing ice cream with this caramel. Dates are a nutritional treasure, nature’s best sweetener! They are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and they are a good source of energy and help digestion. But don’t overdo it because they are rich in calories too! ( 100 gr. = 282 cal,1% fat, 96% carbs, 3% protein). Stay tuned for next posts! Happy new week!
Ingredients (yields the jar you see in the pics):
330 gr. dates (pitted)
40 gr. plant based milk of choice
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Soak dates in tepid water for για 2-3 hours. Then place them in a blender and pulse until smooth. Add milk, almond butter and vanilla extract and pulse again. Pour milk slowly so that you get the texture you want. If you want your caramel thinner, pour more milk. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy!
