When it comes to salads, I consider dressings a major factor of success. I always pick high quality products to make the dressings of my salads because the yumminess of a salad depends so much on them! Today I used a tasteful vinegar that is made in Kalamata. It is called Messino. It is a family businees run by Dionisios Papadeas and produces a large variety of vinegars: balsamic, red or white wine vinegar and vinegars with herbs (basil, oregano, tarragon, rosemary). For more information visit their site.)
The salad I am sharing with you today is heavenly! So simple and yet so tasty! Lettuce, beetroot, sunflower seeds topped with a delicious feta sauce.
Have a wonderful week!
2 beetroot bulbs, cooked and sliced
3 Tbsp sunflower seeds
50 gr. feta
3 Tbsp olive oil «Messino» vinegar with tarragon
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp tarragon
1 tsp maple syrup
6 fresh mint leaves
salt and pepper
Place chopped lettuce on a platter. Top with beetroot slices and sprinkle with sunflower seeds. Combine all dressing ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth. Pour the dressing over the salad and serve. Enjoy!
