Goodmorning, our dear friends! Begin your day with a big smile and a delicious and filling breakfast! When you have plenty of time and you don’t have to rush to work, make a special breakfast and indulge! This scrumptious chocolate pear tart will fit the bill! It is super easy, super yummy and of course healthy. I am really excited about the chocolate cream I made for this tart. I used silken tofu and it worked wonderfully! Smooth, creamy, tasty! What more can you ask? You can have it raw too and it can be modified in many ways. I will surely use it again in other recipes since it is low fat, plant based and really tasty! I have become a huge silken tofu fan since I made this tart!

Τάρτα με αχλάδια και σοκολάτα

Ingredients :

1 sheet of shortcrust pastry (we used Xrisi Zimi)
300g silken tofu
125 g dark chocolate
1/4 cup. brown sugar
1 τsp  vanilla powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3- 4 pears
orange jam

Instructions:

Beat in the mixer silken tofu, until creamy. Add brown sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Melt chocolate in a baine marie. Let it cool slightly. Pour melted chocolate in the silken tofu mixture and fold in. Place shortcrust pastry on a baking pan and turn a little each side (about 1,5 cm) to create a frame. Spread the filling over the shortcrust pastry and place over the pear slices (cut same sized slices to cook evenly). With a brush spread a little orange jam over pears. Bake in preheated oven at 180-200C for about 25 minutes. Enjoy !!!
